Sweet Chef Sheet Mask Roundup & Reviews

ICYMI: Glow Recipe recently launched a more budget friendly skincare line at Target called Sweet Chef. They have sheet masks and serums around beet, kale and ginger extracts.

Sweet Chef Ginger + Vitamin C Fresh-Pressed Sheet Mask

Material & fit: stiff material with a long & narrow fit. I think it could have used more slits around the mask to adjust the fit since the material is on the stiff/papery side. Has a cute drawing of ginger & "oh ginger snap" quote on the left cheek.

Notable ingredients: Ginger Root Extract, Ascorbyl Glucoside (Vitamin C), Honey Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract, Copper Tripeptide-1

Full ingredients list: Water, Glycerin, Dipropylene Glycol, Betaine, Zingiber Officinale (Ginger) Root Extract, Ascorbyl Glucoside, Honey Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract, Butylene Glycol, Paeonia Suffruticosa Root Extract, Copper Tripeptide-1, Panthenol, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, 1,2-Hexanediol, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Allantoin, Glyceryl Caprylate, Carbomer, Xanthan Gum, Ethylhexylglycerin, Potassium Hydroxide, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Gardenia Florida Fruit Extract, Dextrin, Rose Flower Oil, Disodium EDTA

Time: 45 minutes. I should have removed it sooner though!

Results: As promised, this mask did indeed brighten & made my skin glow. I did notice a bit of a sticky residue but after applying my moisturizer, I didn't have much to complain about.

Price & where to buy: $3.50 from Sweet Chef and Target.

Sweet Chef Beet + Vitamin A Fresh Pressed Sheet Mask

Notable ingredients: Beet Root Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract, Retinyl Palmitate. When I poured out the essence, I noticed it had a slight pink tinge but the mask itself didn’t take on any of the color.

Full ingredients list: Water, Glycerin, Dipropylene Glycol, Betaine, Beta Vulgaris (Beet) Root Extract, Butylene Glycol, Paeonia Suffruticosa Root Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Retinyl Palmitate, Allantoin, Panthenol, 1,2-Hexanediol, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Glyceryl Caprylate, Carbomer, Xanthan Gum, Ethylhexylglycerin, Potassium Hydroxide, Gardenia Florida Fruit Extract, Citrus Paradisi (Grapefruit) Peel Oil, Dextrin, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Citrus Aurantifolia (Lime) Fruit Extract, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Fruit Extract, Pyrus Malus (Apple) Fruit Extract, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Fruit Extract, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Fruit Extract, Tocopherol, Disodium EDTA

Material & fit: Papery material with a long and narrow shape. Wish it was a bit wider to cover more of my temples and area by my ears. Has an illustration of a beet and "beet of my heart" printed on the left cheek.

Scent: very faint soapy scent, but nothing too bothersome or distracting.

Time: 30 minutes

Results: This is supposed to pore refining and skin smoothing mask. I had already did a bit of exfoliation prior to using this mask so my skin was already pretty smooth and did not notice any changes with my pores. The only thing I noticed aside from slight hydration was that the mask creases left lines on my face! Not a fave, sorry beets!

Price & where to buy: $3.50 from Sweet Chef and Target.

Sweet Chef Kale + Vitamin B Fresh Pressed Sheet Mask

Notable ingredients: Kale Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Aloe Extract, Panthenol (Vitamin B), Cocoa Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract

Full ingredients list: Water, Glycerin, Dipropylene Glycol, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Polyglyceryl-3 Methylglucose Distearate, Brassica Oleracea Acephala (Kale) Leaf Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Panthenol, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract, Paeonia Suffruticosa Root Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Butylene Glycol, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer, 1,2-Hexanediol, Xanthan Gum, Glyceryl Caprylate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Sodium Polyacrylate, Hydrogenated Polydecene, Salvia Officinalis (Sage) Oil, Trideceth-6, Dextrin, Gardenia Florida Fruit Extract, Pantolactone, Disodium EDTA

Scent: very faint fresh botanic scent, can't quite place it but isn't offensive or strong.

Material & fit: unlike the other 2 masks, this is made of a thick plush material and soaked with a creamy essence. The mask material is slightly stretchy so I was able to tug at it and make it a touch wider to fit my face. The general fit is the same as other Sweet Chef masks though, long & narrow.

Made in: Korea

Time: 40 minutes

Results: Nourished & moisturized skin. I massaged the remaining essence into my skin and it was like applying an emulsion. This is my fave of the Sweet Chef masks & would recommend if you have dry skin.

Price & where to buy: $3.50 from Sweet Chef and Target.
